Peace, unity, national reconciliation & education are essential elements in all modern societies. Our beloved country must build a progressive and developed nation while preserving its religious values and cultural traditions.
to allocate sufficient resources for peace efforts, national security and public safety;
Federalism is the political solution for lasting peace and national stability. I shall support the President to transition our centralized unitary system of government towards a federated system, in the model of the Federal Republic of Germany or the United States of America.
Unity is the foundation of national strength, harmony and tranquility. Lumads, Muslims and Christians communities are the stakeholders in our country and must always be united in common pursuit for justice, equality, and socio-economic development. There should be no discrimination in all sectors of society, particularly, in jobs and educational opportunities;
As your senator, I will work with my colleagues to pass bills that will enhance job-creation programs in all aspects of government service. The Civil Service on both national and provincial levels must be rationalized to provide jobs to as many seekers as possible.
National reconciliation should be the paramount policy of the government. Reconciliation and peace-making efforts should be sincere and inclusive of all stakeholders. Inter-community dialogue and cross-cultural inter-action by Lumads, Muslims and Christians are also essential factors in national reconciliation. The keen understanding and mutual respect of each other’s religion, culture and tradition can be a formidable instrument for better human co-existence.
As your senator, I will introduce bills that will institutionalize inter-faith and inter-cultural reconciliation movements among Lumads, Muslim and Christian communities.
We should build an advanced and modern country in this age of Globalization. Therefore, I shall encourage my fellow legislators to pass bills that will harness and cultivate the scientific talents of our nation;
Our cultural and traditional revival is very important in gaining moral confidence and social respect. Lumads, Muslim and Christian communities must review and emphasize their history and culture. As your senator, I will make sure that the true history and tradition of our people will be studied and taught in our schools and colleges;
I will introduce legislation that will give educational and financial support from pre-school to college all deserving students of poor families;
Once elected Senator, I shall hope to be in the Senate Committee on Education so I can better focus on the development of our youths.
